Prince Harry appeared in a skit in which he was tattooed by American music star Jelly Roll as part of his preparations for the Invictus Games in Canada.

In the footage, shot at New York tattoo parlor East Side Ink, the 40-year-old Duke of Sussex squeals as he sits on a chair and gets fake ink during the skit.

The lighthearted clip, thought to have been shot in September, begins with Prince Harry meeting country superstar Jelly Roll at a Lower East Side tattoo parlor.

An excited Jelly Roll tells the Duke: ‘Do you know I couldn’t believe it when they rang me and told me Prince Harry wanted a tattoo today and they wanted me to give him his first tattoo?’

But a shocked Harry immediately responds: ‘No, no, no, why are you wearing gloves?’ and the singing star says: ‘We’re getting you a tattoo of the Invictus Games.’

‘No, I came here to ask you to take part in the Invictus Games,’ explains a surprised Harry. ‘This one has no tattoos. ‘I can’t get a tattoo.’

But Jelly Roll immediately agreed and said: ‘I will play the Invictus Games. ‘Let me give you your first tattoo.’ Finally Harry is convinced and responds: ‘Okay, fuck it. Let’s go! Let’s do it. Where do you want it from?’

“We should focus on our necks,” the singer insists in the entertaining clip. But the royal suggests: ‘Neck? I was thinking like my lower back or my ass.’

‘No, no one wants to see your ass, Harry,’ Jelly Roll quickly retorts, adding: ‘For this world.’ I think like this, let me show you.’

The singer then ‘tattoos’ the Invictus Games logo and her name on the prince, to which a shocked Harry says: ‘You put your name on my neck… are you serious? ‘Oh shit.’

The title of the video shared by the tournament account on X read: ‘The most… signed agreement in the history of the Invictus Games.

It has been confirmed that Jelly Roll will be the first headliner of the closing ceremony of next year’s sports tournament, which will take place from February 8-16.

The tattoo parlor is famous among celebrity circles as ‘Avengers’ stars Chris Hemsworth, Robert Downey Jr., Scarlett Johansson, Chris Evans and Jeremy Renner have previously received matching inks from here.

Opened in 1992, East Side Ink describes itself as one of the oldest tattoo parlors in New York City.

The shop was listed as one of New York City’s best tattoo parlors in Time Out’s 2024 list.

Today’s clip comes after Prince Harry made his second appearance in Vancouver on Monday as he kicked off Canada’s Invictus Games school program with a heartwarming game of sitting volleyball.

The Duke visited the Seaforth Armory and met primary school children studying in the city and spoke to them about the annual adaptive sports tournament for wounded and injured service personnel.

His visit comes on the heels of his wife Meghan Markle’s surprise solo appearance at the Canadian Cup final, just days after attending a friend’s lavish party without her husband.

During his visit to Canada’s historic military installation on Monday, Prince Harry participated in a number of activities, including playing sitting volleyball, and appeared deep in conversation with his young fans.

The Prince is currently in Vancouver to promote the Invictus Games, which will take place from February 8 to February 16 in Vancouver and Whistler.
