* This Advisory replaces the Advisory message published at 16.28 on Saturday, 28 December.
* There is a wildfire near the Howitt Mountain Trailhead.
* Fire crews are working to control the fire. There is no threat to you at this time, but you should stay informed and plan.
What will you do if the situation changes? What you should do:
* Monitor weather conditions and warnings.
* Review your fire escape plan.
* If you don’t have a plan, decide what you will do if the situation changes. Effects in your area:
* Howitt Mountain Trail is closed.
* Howitt Mountain hiking trail campground and parking lot are closed.
* Fire crews are responding to this fire.
* Smoke is visible from nearby settlements and roads.
* Airplanes are operating in the region. This message was published by Victoria Bushfire Management.
