Bukayo Saka always singled out David Luiz as the player who helped him the most when he broke into Arsenal’s first team.

The English player is only 23 years old, but he looks as if he has been in the senior squad for years. HE of Arsenal best actor and always fun to watch.

Saka was equally exciting when he first burst onto the scene at the age of 17, but it must have been difficult being himself among the other superstars in the team.

Luis He made Saka’s life a lot easier and Arsenal number seven remembers him to this day.

What David Luiz did at Arsenal team meeting ‘shocked’ Bukayo Saka

Luiz spent two seasons at Arsenal after joining the club from Chelsea.

The Brazilian football player experienced ups and downs on the field. Emiratesbut he was always a very important player behind the scenes of the club.

Luiz’s experience has often helped young players and Saka remains grateful for everything the former PSG man did for him all those years ago.

To talk Arsenal’s official website Speaking about his development at the club, the English star claimed that Luiz did his best to make him feel at home in the first team.

Apparently he was heaping praises on Saka in team meetings to make sure everyone knew what a good player he was. This ‘shocked’ Arsenal’s number seven.

Joke He said: “I would say that every young player needs a little help and guidance; it’s not that easy to come to such a big team. “I’ve always said that David Luiz had one of the biggest influences on me.

“From my first few sessions with the team, I remember him talking about how much better I was in team meetings and telling everyone how much he believed in me.

“It’s great for a young player to hear that. To be honest, I’m surprised he even did that. Then he took me under his wing and gave me advice.

“And it wasn’t just me, it was all the young players. He was there for us.”

What has David Luiz been up to since leaving Arsenal?

Luiz was an integral part Mikel Arteta He made the squad but decided to leave the club in 2021.

The Brazilian returned to his country and joined Flamengo. He is still there, having made 132 appearances in all competitions.

Luiz helped Flamengo win the Copa Libertadores in 2022, as well as the Brazilian Cup on two separate occasions. He’s 37 now but still going strong.

Many Arsenal fans may not remember Luiz too fondly for his performances, but he deserves a lot of love and respect for helping Saka become the player he is today.
