Jasper Peterson was convicted of two counts of possession of a controlled substance and third-degree assault.

This stemmed from an incident that occurred on September 15, 2023, in the area of Knox Street in Albany. He hit someone and also smoked cocaine, according to the Albany County District Attorney’s Office.

The sentence is planned to be announced on January 17. As a persistent offender, he could face up to 15 years in prison.
