The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, along with the Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife, is seeking information about the illegal killing of two federally listed endangered wolves.

FWS said one of the gray wolves was killed in Klickitat County, while the second was killed in Washington’s Okanogan County.

“The service offers rewards of up to $10,000 for any information leading to an arrest, criminal conviction or civil penalty assessment for each case,” FWS wrote.

FWS went on to state that on October 6, WDFW personnel initiated an investigation into the death of an adult male gray wolf. According to FWS, this incident occurred east of the Klickitat River near US Highway 142 near Goldendale, Klickitat County, Washington. .

The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service also said on Oct. 20 that WDFW opened a second investigation into another dead gray wolf, an adult female, found southwest of Twisp in Okanogan County, Washington.

“The service and WDFW are conducting a joint investigation,” FWS wrote in a press release. “Anyone with information about this case should call the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service using the FWS TIPs line at 1-844-FWS-TIPS (1-844-397-8477).”
