Major Upgrades Include A18 Chipset, OLED Display, and 48MP Camera

It looks like we’ll know just about everything about the iPhone SE 4 when Apple launches it early next year. A comprehensive specs sheet has now emerged detailing everything from RAM capacity to Wi-Fi connectivity.

This leak comes from a well-known source @jukanlosreveSo it’s likely to be true, but nothing is confirmed until the phone is officially released. Some of these specifications have already been leaked, while others are new.

iPhone SE 4 features

According to the specifications page, the iPhone SE 4 will be powered by the A18 chipset (the same processor seen in the iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus). This is said to be combined with 8 GB RAM and 128 GB storage.

Having the same chipset and RAM as flagship iPhones is a big deal for a reason: It means the iPhone SE 4 will be able to run all the AI tricks and capabilities that will be available as part of Apple Intelligence starting next week.

We can expect a 6.06-inch OLED display with a resolution of 2532 x 1170 pixels. This is a significant improvement over the 4.7-inch LCD on the third-generation iPhone SE (2022) and is (as previously expected) comparable to the iPhone 14.

This means the iPhone SE 4 will be the first model in the series to ditch the home button and Touch ID in favor of the more modern design of the latest flagship iPhones. The weight of the phone appears to be 165 grams, which is slightly heavier than the previous model’s 144 grams.

Other features include a single 48MP rear camera, 12MP selfie camera, Wi-Fi 6, IP68 water and dust protection, and a 3,279mAh battery (up from 2,018mAh in the current model).

iPhone SE 4 price

According to this source, the iPhone SE 4 will start at $499, so we can expect a price increase from its previous price point of $429 / £419 / AU$719. The phone is scheduled to be released alongside several new iPads in early 2025 (the month mentioned in the leak is March).
