Jayden Daniels last breath Hail Mary It gave the Commanders a stunning 18-15 victory over the Bears on Sunday. If recent history is to be believed, he may have also played a key role in shaping the outcome of another highly controversial joust not far from where Daniels and his Washington teammates set up shop.

Here’s what you need to know about the Commanders and their sordid past in predicting the results of presidential elections.

Commanders’ election forecast announced

The Commanders’ Rule, formerly known by Washington’s old nickname, stipulates that the result of the Commanders’ last home game before the presidential election will determine the outcome of the presidential election.

The precedent is this: If Washington wins its last home game before Election Day, the winner of the presidential election will belong to the incumbent political party. In case of defeat of the commanders, the title of president will be given to a candidate from the opposing party.

The hypothesis is quite primitive and full of inconsistencies. Regardless, this has been considered fairly true for most of the last 75 years. Seventeen of the last 19 presidential elections since the commanders replaced Boston with Washington in 1937 have been held in accordance with this edict.

There have been some notable exceptions in recent history, such as Barack Obama defeating Mitt Romney despite Washington dropping out of the contest before Election Day, and Donald Trump declaring victory over Hillary Clinton after the Commanders defeated the Cowboys.

With Sunday’s result, all signs point to Harris’ victory. Whether this will come to fruition is a different story. But right now, history seems to be on his side.
