Jamestown man pleads guilty to drug charges | News, Sports, Jobs

A Jamestown man has pleaded guilty to methamphetamine charges.

On Friday, U.S. Attorney Trini E. Ross announced that 43-year-old Willie C. Graham filed a lawsuit with U.S. District Judge John L. Sinatra Jr. for possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine, which carries a mandatory minimum sentence of five years in prison. maximum penalty of 40 years in prison and a fine of $5,000,000.

Assistant U.S. Attorney Donna M. Duncan, who prosecuted the case, stated that on Sept. 6, 2023, Jamestown Police officers initiated a traffic stop of a car in which Graham was a passenger. Officers located numerous drug paraphernalia in the car. and a quantity of fentanyl was found on Graham.

On March 2, Graham was a passenger in a car that fled law enforcement attempting a traffic stop. During a subsequent search of the vehicle, 11.6 grams of methamphetamine drug paraphernalia and $1,134.00 in cash were seized.

On April 30, Jamestown Police officers located and arrested Graham. At the time of his arrest, he was in possession of 10 assorted bank and welfare cards, some of which were issued to people other than Graham, a quantity of methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia and $185.

The indictment is the result of an investigation by the Jamestown Police Department, under the direction of Chief Timothy Jackson, and the Federal Bureau of Investigation, under the direction of Special Agent in Charge Matthew Miraglia.

Sentencing is scheduled for February 20 at 11 a.m. before Sinatra.
