Nairobi, Kenya – The family of prominent Nairobi-based lawyer Njau Kayai is calling for help and justice, three years after his abduction.

How was lawyer Njau Kayai kidnapped?

To talk TUKO.co.keNjau’s younger brother, Kariuki Kayai, described the sad incident.

Kariuki explained that the missing man was intercepted by two cars and taken away by unidentified people.

“We spent thousands of dollars searching but nothing turned up,” Kariuki lamented.

Njau Kayai’s children are forced to live without a father

Kariuki said that the kidnapping incident was discussed in the Parliament and Law Society of Kenya (LSK) was involved but three years later there is still no answer.

“This situation devastated our family. His two children, Ian and Ricky, had to grow up without their father. “This is heartbreaking,” he said.

The children’s grandmother, Margaret Macharia, and other relatives and well-wishers stepped in to provide support.

But the emotional and financial cost remains huge.

How does Njau Kayai’s brother handle heartbreak?

Working as a doctor abroad, Kariuki channeled his pain into philanthropy to keep his head up during personal tragedy.

He supports Kenyans by giving KS 100,000 from his monthly salary and distributing it to 10 needy people.

“I also provide scholarships to educate children in Kenya and address water problems by donating water tanks,” he explained.

Kariuki pleaded with the government to put an end to the kidnappings on the grounds that they traumatize loved ones and create a ripple effect of pain.

There are many kidnappings in Kenya

The family’s plea comes at a time of growing concern about the increasing number of disappearances in the country.

A large number of young people have been reported missing over the last few weeks, leaving many families in agony due to unsolved cases.

Kariuki called for decisive action from the authorities and said, “Every time news of a new abduction comes, our wounds are reopened.”

As the search for Njau continues, his family continues to hold out hope that he will one day return to their lives.
