2 injured in street takeover in North Haven

NORTH HAVEN, CT (WFSB) – Police are investigating a street takeover that left two pedestrians injured.

Police officers were dispatched to Montowese Boulevard near Clark Boulevard after receiving a report of a car crash and a pedestrian struck.

Police teams arrived at the scene and found that a group of vehicles involved had fled the scene and no injuries were immediately identified.

But about 45 minutes later, a local hospital reported that two people had been shot during the incident.

These people were transported to the hospital by their friends before the police arrived.

The injuries are not life-threatening.

The investigation into the incident continues as authorities try to piece together details about the takeover of the street.
