Two people allegedly detained by Pakistani armed forces have been reported missing. BalochistanThere is one case involving a 13-year-old boy. Family members of the boy, whose name was identified as Sabrullah’s son Balach from Panjgur district, claimed that he was forcibly taken from his home 10 days ago during the raid by Pakistani forces.
Balach was reportedly subjected to physical abuse before he was taken away while he was still injured, The Balochistan Post reported. Authorities have not yet commented on the incident, which has caused concern among local and international human rights organizations.
It has been documented that the Pakistani military targeted the family repeatedly; Previous incidents included a raid on their home where property was damaged and two grenades were thrown outside, but no injuries were reported.
According to local sources, the report said forces regularly raided the house, subjecting the family to constant intimidation.
In another incident, Pakistani forces detained a man identified as Fazal Bashir in the coastal city of Gwadar. According to The Balochistan Post, Fazal, who lives in Hirabad area in Kech district, was detained on December 23 and his location has not been determined yet.
His family, fearing for his safety, sought help from human rights organizations to determine his whereabouts. The persistent problem of enforced disappearance in Balochistan continues to attract attention, with local activists and human rights organizations demanding accountability and the release of missing persons.
Despite constant calls for justice, these incidents underscore ongoing accusations against Pakistani security forces in the region.
Balach and Fazal’s families demanded that the authorities investigate their cases and provide information about their missing relatives.
According to news agency ANI, Balochistan continues to witness systematic kidnappings and killings affecting various sections of society, including activists, politicians, journalists and civilians, reportedly kidnapped by security forces.
The Pakistani military is frequently accused of using enforced disappearances as a tactic against rebels and separatist groups. Human rights organizations and Baloch nationalist groups argue that these abductions are aimed at suppressing opposition.
The report also stated that these disappearances often lead to torture and extrajudicial killings, and that the human rights situation in the region has worsened.
