Teenager shot dead by car attackers in Maqboolpura

A youth was shot dead on street number 6 in Maqboolpura area last night. It was stated that the deceased was Gurpreet Singh. The incident took place in front of Gurpreet’s house when 4-5 youths got into a car and opened fire. He received four bullets and was seriously injured. Gurpreet was taken to a private hospital where she was declared dead. The police launched an investigation against the attackers. The family claimed that the suspects were Sachin, Ronnie, Bablu Khatri and some unidentified persons.

According to Gurpreet’s mother Charanjit Kaur, her son had a verbal altercation with some local youths four days ago. Police are investigating the matter and assured that action will be taken based on the statements of the family members.

Gurpreet Singh is survived by his wife and two daughters. The incident caused shock waves in the region. SHO, Maqboolpura and Harparkash Singh said that the police were working to nab the accused after registering the case.
