14-year-old accused of armed robbery and kidnapping

Windsor police arrested a pair of 14-year-old boys who allegedly kidnapped two people at gunpoint while driving around in a stolen vehicle.

Officers responded to a report of a person with a gun on Dougall Avenue shortly after 11pm on December 3rd.

Following the investigation, police teams learned that the two young suspects were driving a stolen vehicle, holding a firearm to their heads and making threats when they picked up their first victim.

Police said the suspects then went to the location of the second victim and used bear mace to scare them and demanded they get into the vehicle.

Once inside, police said one of the victims was physically assaulted. His shoes were also stolen by the suspects.

Police said the suspects released the victims a short time later. One victim suffered minor injuries during the incident.

A day later, police arrested both suspects, who face multiple charges including robbery with an offensive weapon and kidnapping. The identities of both young people are protected under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
