The video of customers dancing has been viewed millions of times.

Free coffee was just a dance away at a local cafe in Middleborough.

Those who danced at Coffee Milano Cafe last Friday afternoon were rewarded with a free cup of joe.

“Dancing is so much fun,” said cafe owner Josh Rashid. “Who doesn’t love dancing?”

A sign posted on the coffee shop door last week declared that customers who danced for five seconds would win a free cup. The promotion, inspired by a local pizza shop holding a similar dance contest, also appeared on: Facebook of the cafe.

The video compilation featuring dancing customers went viral on TikTok, racking up 6.8 million views as of Thursday.

“I’m still trading,” Rashid told Boston.com. “I’m just amazed. I didn’t realize the power of the internet.”

Rashid said the video brought new customers to the store.

“Hmm… you all went crazy on Tiktok!!” Coffee Milan Cafe he wrote on Facebook after the dance challenge. “We’re celebrating!!”

The cafe has announced plans for another dance party next week but has not yet announced the date.

“They are smiling,” Rashid said of his customers. “We still have a few customers who come in and randomly dance here and there.”
