Chicago rapper Lil Durk pleaded not guilty to murder-for-hire charges in Los Angeles, the US Attorney’s Office announced

LOS ANGELES (Wales) — Chicago rapper Lil Durk pleaded not guilty Thursday to murder-for-hire charges.

The rapper, whose real name is Durk Banks, pleaded not guilty at his hearing in federal court in Los Angeles.

Prosecutors say the rapper paid five people to kill Quando Rondo at a Los Angeles gas station in 2022. Rondo wasn’t killed, but his cousin was.

Banks was arrested three weeks ago in Miami for allegedly trying to leave the country.

Lil Durk was spotted on January 7, 2025 in Los Angeles.

Additional pretrial hearings will be held in November and December, officials said.
