California woman in fatal Las Vegas crash identified, police say

LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – Nevada State Police have identified the pedestrian who collided with a pickup truck in Las Vegas.

Police described the accident It happened Sunday night at I-15 and off-ramp in Cheyenne. A Ford F-150 Cheyenne approached the ramp when Araeli Jasmin Morales pulled into the path of the truck.

Police said the driver hit the pedestrian with his right front side. The driver continued outside the amp but returned.

Police said the driver cooperated with officers and remained at the scene.

Morales is a 31-year-old from Salida, California. He died at the scene.

The investigation is being conducted by the Nevada State Police Highway Patrol Traffic Homicide Unit.

Year 2024 to date: Nevada State Police Highway Patrol Southern Command investigated 64 fatal crashes resulting in 72 fatalities.
