Hugh Jackman: Australian radio presenter Kyle Sandilands defends Australian actor amid affair rumors with co-star

Kyle Sandilands has broken his silence on rumors that Hugh Jackman was cheating on his wife of 27 years.

Gossip blogger Tasha Lustig posted a video on October 26 claiming that Jackman blindsided his wife, Deborra-Lee Furness, by “running off” with his Broadway co-star Sutton Foster while they were still married.

Furness ‘liking’ the Instagram video fueled speculation that the allegations regarding Jackman’s relationship were true.

But Sandilands rushed to the 49-year-old’s defense and discussed the allegations with co-star Jackie ‘O’ Henderson on Thursday’s Kyle and Jackie O Show.

“Who cares if the rumors are true? How long does Hugh need to stay single, how long is enough?” the 53-year-old KIIS FM presenter questioned.

Henderson jumped in to clarify that the rumors were that he was cheating, not that he was acting fast.

Sandilands doubled down in the actor’s defense: “I don’t believe unknown sources who would lie to sell a story.”

The viral video also attracted a comment from Furness’ close friend Amanda de Cadenet, who wrote: “You’re spot on this time. My dear friend Deb will make it shine every moment!

Sandilands nevertheless refused to listen to the speculation, suggesting that Furness “may have liked the post by mistake” and that people should not comment too much on the post.

The gossip blogger’s post also claimed that Jackman and Sutton were planning to “soft launch” their relationship publicly to see the reaction.
