$5,000 reward offered for finding suspect in Fairburn restaurant murder

ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) – The Fairburn Police Department is offering up to $5,000 for information regarding a homicide that occurred in January 2023.

Police said they received a call at 1:57 p.m. about the death of 33-year-old Montrez Mcallister on Jan. 8 at Los Mariachis Mexican Restaurant, 7794 Ella Lane.

An eyewitness told police that Mcallister was sitting at the bar when an unidentified man entered the restaurant and shot him twice in the head.

Police said the suspect, a light-skinned man about 5 feet 10 inches tall, wearing a black jogger and a red hoodie, ran out the front door and drove away in a white or silver sedan, possibly a Nissan.

The witness told police the suspect probably went to Oakley Industrial.
