Shelter-in-place was held after reports of weapons near Cienega High School

VAIL, Ariz. (KGUN) — The Pima County Sheriff’s Office and Cienega High School say an armed student was found near the school.

PCSO said all suspects are currently in custody and no weapons have been recovered.

“We immediately partnered with the Pima County Sheriff and determined that a threat to our campus was not valid,” Cienega principal Kim Middleton said in a statement to parents. he said.

The school remains in a shelter to allow for a search.
