Nelly off the hook: No charges against rapper after arrest for ecstasy possession

Grammy-winning rapper Nelly will no longer be prosecuted over allegations of ecstasy possession. The prosecution attributed the dismissal to limited facts.

“We do not believe the facts of this case warrant charges,” Chris King of the St. Louis County District Attorney’s Office told TMZ Hip Hop on Wednesday, Nov. 13. Prosecutor Wesley Bell and his office announced that after “a fair and impartial review of the evidence,” they decided not to file any charges.

Why was Nelly arrested?

The Grammy-winning musician was arrested in the early hours of Aug. 7, the day he won multiple jackpots at the Hollywood Casino & Hotel in Maryland Heights. Missouri. The search warrant ultimately led to police finding four ecstasy pills in Nelly’s possession and his subsequent arrest. As for the insurance issue, Rosenblum said the charge was resolved after his client provided proof that the insurance was his.
