UPDATE: Acadia, St. Flash Flood Warning issued for Landry and parts of northern Lafayette County until 11:45 AM

Areas in this warned box have recently received 1-3 inches worth of rain and street flooding is likely.

Flood Warning issued for most of Lafayette County until 10:45 AM

An isolated cell produced 2 to 4 inches of rain in a short period of time during the early morning hours, leading to numerous reports of flooded roads.

Showers will taper off into the morning and appear to be moving faster than before, with heavy activity now moving north from Lafayette and along I-49.

The rain will largely subside by lunch time, allowing roads to slowly clear throughout the day.

Until then, avoid flooded roads and, if possible, suspend your morning commute until roads improve.
