Good Morning UK viewers ‘shut down’ as they complain | TV and Radio | Showbiz and TV

The latest episode of Good Morning Britain left viewers fed up as tensions escalated live on air.

Friday’s show (November 8) was headlined by hosts Charlotte Hawkins and Adil Ray, who brought viewers the day’s biggest headlines from across the country and beyond. However, the studio atmosphere quickly became tense, leading viewers to take to social media to voice their complaints.

The temperature of the show soared during a heated discussion about Donald Trump’s ties to the UK, when guests Salma Shah and Caroline Flint couldn’t stop talking over each other. The increased noise in the studio proved too much for those watching at home, and they immediately expressed their dismay on Twitter.

“I love how everyone is in crisis after Trump’s election victory,” one person said on Twitter.

Another, according to reports, said the debate was poorly managed and well-founded and suggested it would be better to take a “wait and see” approach before shifting focus to more important issues Mirror.

One particular viewer pointed out that guests’ shouting was overlapping, while another expressed her displeasure with the noise level, writing: “Too loud for me this morning. 3 people talking and shouting at the same time. Go away.” A fellow audience member echoed the sentiment, begging for orders: “One by one. Shut up!”

Clashes broke out during the meeting with the Deputy Prime Minister Angela Rayner‘s comments about Trump, whom he described as a ‘joker’ in the past, caused widespread surprise.

Discussing the closeness of Rayner and Trump, Caroline said: “Yes, I too could have chosen different words to describe his approach to the epidemic because I thought he was wrong in many of the statements he made at the time. But still, most of them are about theater. Again, he knows that the special relationship is important.”

But the conversation took a sharp turn when hosts Charlotte and Salma interrupted and stopped Caroline mid-sentence. Salma responded: “I don’t agree with you on this. I worked with the Trump administration in 2017 when I was at the Department of Internal Affairs; this was the first Trump administration and he takes things really seriously!”

Amid the heated argument, Caroline insisted on voicing her opinion, leading to chaos on set.

Good Morning Britain airs weekdays from 6am on ITV1.
