Bay Minette Police arrest 46-year-old man accused of inappropriate sexual intercourse with child

MR. MINETTE, Ala.(WALA) – A 46-year-old man is facing several charges stemming from allegations he had an inappropriate relationship with a child under the age of 16.

The Bay Minette Police Department, with assistance from the Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office, arrested Fernandius Lamar Lowman on Thursday.

After receiving a complaint about an alleged inappropriate relationship from a minor’s guardian in early October, Bay Minette police said their investigation found enough evidence to continue. Investigators obtained an arrest warrant for two counts of second-degree sodomy and one count of electronic harassment of a minor.

Lowman is being held without bail until a bond hearing is scheduled.

Police said the investigation is ongoing.
