Hashim Dagane: DCI Arrests Prime Suspect in Murder of 3 Women in Eastleigh

  • The Directorate of Criminal Investigation arrested Hashim Dagane, the prime suspect in the murder of Daud Said, Amina Abdirashid Dahir and Nusayba Abdi Mohammed.

The bodies of the victims (dahabo Daud Said, Amina Abdirashid Dahir and Nusayba Abdi Mohammed) were found dumped in various parts of the city. Machakos and Nairobi, after family members reported him missing.

A DCI spokesperson said: “Detectives successfully captured Hashim Dagane Muhumed today following an extensive investigation into the tragic murders of a mother, her daughter and her 12-year-old nephew. The horrific crime sparked a determined manhunt for the suspect.” he said.

Dagane is currently in police custody and is being processed ahead of his hearing, which is scheduled for Monday, November 4, at the Makadara Chief Magistrate’s Court.

Meanwhile, the DCI reiterated its commitment to ensure justice for the victims and their grieving families.

How did DCI identify Hashim Dagane?

Investigations revealed that 24-year-old Hashim Dagane was driving the Nissan Note (Reg. No. KDQ 718Y) that was taken on 24 August. Security cameras detect the victims from their home in Eastleigh on October 21, 2024, just hours before their bodies were discovered.

This led detectives to ask the public for information regarding the suspect’s whereabouts.
