Lufkin High School cheerleaders involved in bus crash in Houston

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRE) – A Lufkin ISD school bus full of the high school cheer squad was involved in a crash Sunday.

In a post from Lufkin ISD, it was stated that the accident occurred in Houston while the team was on its way to a competition.

There were 34 cheerleading leaders and several adults on the bus at the time of the accident. Three students received medical attention, according to Lufkin ISD.

While two students were later released, the situation of one student is still being monitored.

The cheer squad is about to return to Lufkin, the school said.
