Man shot to death at Sparks apartment complex, investigation continues

SPARKS, Nev. (News 4 and Fox 11) — An investigation continues into the shooting death of a man at a Sparks apartment complex Saturday night.

Sparks Police Department officers responded to 1000 El Rancho Dr. on Nov. 2 around 10:30 p.m. He intervened in the apartment complex at , upon hearing many gunshots and people screaming.

When officers arrived at the complex, they found a man shot. In addition to the police teams arriving at the scene, REMSA and Sparks Fire Department personnel also provided medical aid, and the injured person was taken to the hospital and died.

Sparks Police Department detectives responded and took over the investigation. The investigation revealed that the incident involved the victim and another man. Authorities stated that there was an argument between the two and one person opened fire.

The man involved left the area but called 911 to report the incident. Authorities say he is cooperating with the investigation. There is no obvious suspect or risk to the public.

The names of those involved in the incident were not disclosed.

The investigation continues.
