Bengaluru: In a tragic discovery that shocked the Kannada film industry, renowned director Guruprasad (52) was found hanging in his flat in Bengaluru on Sunday. Police suspect the acclaimed filmmaker died by suicide days ago due to financial stress or other unresolved personal issues.

The sudden death of Guruprasad, who was known for his bold and extraordinary works, including acclaimed films like ‘Mata’ and ‘Yeddelu Manjunatha’, left his colleagues and fans in doubt.

His body was sent for autopsy as police tried to uncover more details behind this heartbreaking tragedy.
