Suspect charged in fatal Columbia robbery in Boone County

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

A man charged with murder in connection with the death of a Columbia man is now in the Boone County Jail.

Julius Mosby, 18, was booked into the Boone County Jail Tuesday evening after being extradited from Indianapolis, Indiana. He is charged with second-degree felony murder and first-degree robbery Death of Traquan Reed, 18On October 10th.

Byron Sampson, 20, St. from Louis, charged with second degree murder He is being held without bail in the Boone County Jail in connection with Reed’s death. The preliminary hearing is scheduled for Thursday, November 7, at 9 a.m.

Sampson is accused of intentionally hitting Reed with the stolen truck. Reed was pronounced dead at an area hospital.

Demetrius L. Mays, 22, is also charged with first-degree robbery and second-degree felony murder for his alleged involvement in the incident. Court records indicate he has a preliminary hearing on Nov. 14.
