Man faces multiple charges after teen-involved shooting

KINGSTON, Jamaica — A 33-year-old man is facing multiple charges, including malicious wounding, following a reported shooting in which two teenage boys were shot.

According to detectives assigned to the Kingston East Police Division, farm store operator David Taylor, aka ‘Pelpa’, of Rock Jam Road, Kingston, 2, carried out an armed attack on a man and two teenage boys on Monday, September 18.

Taylor allegedly got out of the Honda Fit car and opened fire on the trio.

The man and a 15-year-old boy were shot during the gunfire. The other 16-year-old young man managed to escape unhurt. The injured were taken to hospital and treated.

In addition to the wounding charges, Taylor was also booked on charges of intentional shooting, illegal possession of a firearm and illegal possession of ammunition.

The court date has not been finalized yet.
