4 teenagers and 1 adult charged in beating death of Atkinson County teenager

PEARSON, Ga. (WALB) – A teenager was beaten to death in Atkinson County.

According to Atkinson County Sheriff’s Office Chief Knapik, five people, including four teenagers, beat a 16-year-old teenager, identified as Darion Davis, to death on the Cara Loop in Pearson on Saturday afternoon, Oct. 12.

Chief Knapik told WALB the suspects were identified as 21-year-old Ne’miah Jones, 17-year-old Verntron White, two 16-year-olds and a 15-year-old.

They are all charged with the following crimes:

  • felony murder
  • aggravated assault
  • aggravated battery

White is charged as an adult.

White and Jones are currently being held in the Atkinson County Jail, and all three teens are being held in a juvenile facility.
