Hyderabad Water Board files complaint after damage to pipeline disrupts supply

Hyderabad: The Water Board has lodged a complaint with the Narsingi police against a person who allegedly damaged the drinking water pipeline. Nasir, a resident of Gandipet, reportedly destroyed the 500 mm diameter pipeline constructed under the ORR Phase-2 scheme while laying a sewerage pipeline to his house.

Due to the damage, a leak occurred and approximately 800 houses, 20 villas and many users experienced a water outage.

The Water Authority suffered losses due to this incident. In response to the damage, Water Board officials lodged a complaint with Narsingi police seeking action against Nasir. Authorities are investigating the matter to prevent similar incidents from occurring in the future.
