1987 Paoli cold case victim identified

PAOLI, Oklahoma (KXII) – The victim of a 1987 unsolved case in Paoli has been identified as 19-year-old Molly Monette Hogan.

In June 1987, the Garvin County Sheriff’s Office requested that the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation investigate human remains found near Paoli.

Over the years, the Medical Examiner’s Office and OSBI continued to work to identify these remains.

According to OSBI, the acquisition of advanced resources and tools since then has enabled OSBI criminalists to use Investigative Genetic Genealogy to assist in the identification process.

The Medical Examiner’s Office has now positively identified the victim as 19-year-old Molly Monette Hogan.

While the cause and manner of his death are being determined, the OSBI said it is still an ongoing investigation.

If you know Hogan or have additional information regarding this case, please contact OSBI at [email protected] or 1-800-522-8017.
