Dominic Jofirisi, of Newbury, pleaded not guilty to assault

A MAN will be tried for assault.

Dominic Jofirisi took the stand at Reading Magistrates’ Court on Thursday 12 September.

The 27-year-old, of Berkeley Road, Newbury, is accused of beating and assaulting Daniel Jones in Newbury on Thursday, August 12.

Mr Jofirisi, legally represented by Robert Jacques, spoke only to confirm his details and deny the sole charge.

He was told that the case could not continue any further that day and would be adjourned for the hearing to be arranged.

Meanwhile, Mr Jofirisi was released on unconditional bail.
