17-year-old girl jumped to her death after failing IIT-JEE exam in Jamia Nagar

In a shocking incident, a 17-year-old girl, who was preparing for the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE), allegedly died by suicide after jumping from a residential building in Delhi’s Jamia Nagar. Local residents, visibly distressed by the tragedy, reported that the girl was struggling emotionally over her failed attempt to clear the highly competitive Joint Entrance Examination (JEE).

The incident took place four days after a second-year master’s student at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Delhi, allegedly died by suicide late on Tuesday night. According to police, the student had visited the IIT hospital earlier that day and was undergoing psychiatric treatment.
