Money-saving tips for child care providers

CHICAGO (Wales) — The skyrocketing cost of child care is impacting working families more than ever.

A study by financial experts at Lending Tree found that child care for two children is almost 40% higher than rent costs in the 100 largest metro areas.

Here are some tips for you to save

-You can contact your employer to see if they offer a program or if you can pay for child care out of your paycheck before taxes are deducted.
-Ask for financial help. There may be programs through local, state, and federal government agencies or even private organizations that offer assistance. For example, a local church or community organization.
-Look into nanny sharing programs with other families.
-And don’t forget about possible child care tax credits when filing federal taxes.
