NSCDC spokesperson was attacked and injured by hoodlums

Suspected hoodlums allegedly attacked the spokesman of the Niger State command of the Nigerian Security and Civil Defense Corps (NSCDC, DSC), Ibrahim Rabiu Muti, on a tricycle around Gbeganu area of ​​Minna, the state capital.

It was learned that the incident occurred when Muti was returning from work at around 20:00 last Friday.

DAILY POST learned that the state spokesperson, NSCDC, was stabbed twice in the stomach.

DSC Muti, who confirmed the attack, said about nine criminals attacked Muti and stabbed him after two men from a nearby bush stopped the tricycle he was riding, posing as passengers.

According to him, “They stabbed me with a knife and took my phone and other valuables. They were armed with knives, machetes, daggers and clubs. However, during the search, one of the goons noticed my uniform trousers and immediately told his colleagues that I was a soldier, and they left me wounded.

” Actually, it was my uniform pants that saved me. Other passengers had already gotten off the tricycle, I was the only person left with the motorcyclist when the incident occurred.

The spokesperson, who has been discharged from the hospital for now, is responding to his treatment at home.
