Latest developments in the Middle East: Iran’s religious leader responded to Israeli attacks; ‘At least 22 people died’ in Northern Gaza | World News

According to Reuters news agency, satellite images show that Israeli air strikes overnight targeted buildings in Iran used to mix fuel for ballistic missiles.

Citing different assessments by two American researchers, the news outlet reported that they were told that Israel had struck Parchin, a large military complex near the capital Tehran, and Khojir, a missile production site.

Decker Eveleth, an associate research analyst at Washington think tank CNA, said the Israeli strikes “may have significantly hindered Iran’s ability to mass produce missiles.”

Israel said three waves of jets hit missile factories and other facilities near Tehran and in the west of the country.

Mr. Eveleth said an image from Planet Labs, a commercial satellite company, showed the Israeli attack destroyed two buildings in Khojir where solid fuel for ballistic missiles was mixed.

Planet Labs’ Parchin images showed Israel destroyed three ballistic missile solid fuel mixing buildings and a warehouse, Mr. Eveleth said.

Former UN weapons inspector David Albright said he had reviewed Parchin footage showing the Israeli attack damaging three buildings.

The footage was not seen by Sky News.
