A tiger has been creating fear among villagers on the banks of Sharda river in Pilibhit district of Uttar Pradesh for the last two months. According to the information obtained, the tiger has attacked and injured many people in recent days.

This tiger has been living among the population for several weeks and preys on both humans and animals. Recently, a video showing the tiger’s movements appeared on social media.

On October 2, the tiger attacked a farmhouse worker and seriously injured him. Just five days later, the same tiger attacked a woman collecting animal fodder.

The increasing tiger population in Pilibhit and other Terai regions has led to an increase in the population’s encounters with wildlife. The area bordering the Mala Range of the Pilibhit Tiger Reserve has become a hotspot for tiger attacks and sightings. All villages along the Sharda River are currently grappling with fear due to the presence of the tiger.

After the successive attacks, there was panic in the region. This district is located adjacent to the Sampurnanagar forest range of Kheri district. Consequently, the Kheri district forest department is responsible for finding a solution to this situation.

Amidst these events, videos showing the tiger’s movements in the region are constantly being published on social media. In a recently released video, the tiger can be seen resting in a banana field along the road connecting Shardapar’s Kabirganj to Gandhinagar.

Giving more details, Saurish Sahay, District Forest Officer of North Kheri Forest Division, stated that instructions have been issued to increase vigilance in the region. Villagers are also asked to be careful.
