Israel-Hezbollah conflict: Israeli army releases video of attacks on group’s underground hideout in Lebanon

On Saturday, October 26, the Israeli army released footage said to show attacks on Hezbollah’s underground compound in southern Lebanon.

The footage also shows Israeli commanders and soldiers touring an underground facility allegedly belonging to the Iran-backed group and what they allegedly found inside, including weapons, ammunition, food and communications devices.

Reuters was able to confirm that the location of the attack footage, seen from two angles from 0:00 to 0:22, matched satellite images of the area based on the road layout, nearby buildings, and the shape of the mountains.

Reuters was unable to independently verify the location or date of shooting of the rest of the footage.

The conflict between Israel and Hezbollah broke out a year ago when the Lebanese armed group began firing rockets into northern Israel in support of the Palestinian militant group Hamas at the start of the Gaza war. The violence has intensified in recent weeks.
