But if you haven’t done the latter yet, you might want to hear a designer spill the beans on an ornament that can go from chic to “trashy” due to a common mistake.

Take TikTok professional who goes by the name Dylan (@)designsbydylanp) shared an easy tip that will instantly upgrade your Christmas tree.

“When you hang your ornaments and they have these long strings on them, I think nothing could be more worthless than having that long string (hanging from the branch).”

Instead, the master recommended placing the figurine or other festive decoration on the branch and wrapping it around the tree until it was “warm.”

“This way the string doesn’t show,” Dylan said, explaining that it looks better and neater.

Guru said, “If you want, you can go to the deepest part of the tree or to the very tip of the branch.”

But while professionals may think this is the “right way” to place ornaments, people social media We weren’t so sure – and now viral video It sparked a fierce debate.

“The only thing I can think about is the nightmare you’ll have when you take off the decorations from the tree.”

How to care for your real Christmas tree

HERE’S what you need to know if you’re buying a real Christmas tree:

First thing’s first: buy a flower pot (if it’s not already there).

You need to treat your tree just like a houseplant, giving it water and attention.

Make sure the container has good drainage; It’s a good idea to put something under it to catch any excess water.

Check the soil daily to make sure it is not drying out.

If it feels dry, give it some water. If it still feels damp, leave it alone, as too much water can also kill a tree.

Also make sure it’s not too hot for the LED bulbs in your tree lights to burn, and keep your tree away from radiators.

Once Christmas is over, try planting it in the garden so you can dig it up and use it again next year.
