Strictly Come Dancing fans stunned as Emmerdale star spotted in audience | TV and Radio | Showbiz and TV

Strictly Come Dancing enthusiasts were shocked to spot Emmerdale legend Lisa Riley in the crowd on Saturday evening. The actress, who plays the beloved Mandy Dingle, was seen clapping happily alongside her partner in a cream-coloured jumper.

Fans flocked to social media to discuss the star’s unexpected visit, with one user writing: “Lisa Riley in the #Strictly audience.”

Another replied: “Yes it is; I love her,” while a third noted: “You mean Lisa Riley (blue sign).”

Lisa graced the Strictly dance floor herself during its tenth season, performing as dance partner to the late Robin Windsor.

On tonight’s episode, the judges and contestants outdid themselves with their Halloween-themed costumes. Mirror.

We start the night Chris McCausland and Dianne Buswell delivered a dynamic Samba. While the panel gave them high marks for their routines, supporters expressed concern for Chris.

A common superstition among viewers is that stars who open the show often face elimination the next day.

The comedian also touched on this so-called curse while chatting with Claudia Winkleman, noting: “We’ve lost four people on this show so far.

“Two were in Sambas and we had four dance competitions and three of them were people coming first, so the math was against us this week.”

The previous weekend Paul Merson came out of the competition facing off against JB Gill in a riveting dance-off.

During a candid conversation with Tess Daly, Paul expressed his enthusiasm for the show: “It was really good. From everyone I spoke to, I would say you have to attend this show. It’s brilliant, everyone. A Tottenham supporter called Lincoln there and he’s such a nice guy!”

She continued with glowing praise: “It’s been absolutely amazing, it’s been incredible. I’ve loved every minute of it, I’ve had a great teacher. “It’s been fantastic, absolutely amazing and I couldn’t have asked for a better coach.

“I loved every minute of it. Now I can dance. I won because I can dance. I couldn’t dance before but now I can half dance. It’s a bonus, an absolute bonus.”

Yet the competition is heating up on Sunday night with another celebrity on the brink of exiting and bookmakers have identified Punam Krishnan as the next possible exit.

Definitely Come Dance Returns on Sunday at 19.20 BBC One.
