Bucks Star’s House Was Robbed During the Game

Milwaukee Bucks forward Bobby Portis Jr.’s home was burglarized during the Bucks’ 114-113 loss to the Cleveland Cavaliers on Saturday. Portis shared on social media on Sunday that his home was broken into and called on anyone with information about the situation to report it to him.

“I consider Milwaukee my home.” Portis wrote on X. “My home was broken into last night while I was at work and most of my valuables were stolen. If you have any tips or information please send them to [email protected]. Rewards for information leading to a recovery or arrest!”

Portis included a video of the theft and a video of himself addressing Milwaukee in his post.

“How nice, Milwaukee,” Portis said. “I’ve called Milwaukee home for the last four and a half seasons. I grew up here, came here as a boy and grew into a man. The love you guys give me here is something I never had.” “I felt like this before in my NBA career: I’ve been in the league for ten years, over ten years, can you believe it?”

“I’ve always felt like I had to give it back to you guys. I’ve tried to cheer up the community and make Milwaukee a better place. Doing food drives, speaking to young people regularly, inviting the underserved, you name it, I’ve done it and I’m still doing it “Like I said before, this is a place I call home, so why not make it a better place? I’ve had a terrible start to the season, but yesterday I had a break-in and they took most of my valuables.”

Portis signed with the Bucks in November 2020 and helped Milwaukee win a title in 2021. He re-signed with the Bucks in 2022 to a four-year, $49 million contract. He is currently in his fifth season with the Bucks and had the longest tenure of his career in Milwaukee.

He recorded 10 points and eight rebounds against the Cavaliers on Saturday and has averaged 11 points per game this season.
