Congress Bhagpat district chief – Congress district chief in UP Yunus Chaudhary was suspended after objectionable videos surfaced

According to the party, Congress’ Baghpat district president Yunus Chaudhary was removed from his post after a video allegedly showing him in an objectionable position surfaced on social media.

However, Chaudhary claimed that the video was edited and manipulated by his rivals as part of a political conspiracy against him.

The video allegedly shows Chaudhary behaving inappropriately with a woman.

Baghpat Superintendent of Police (SP) Arpit Vijayvargiya said that no official complaint has been received regarding the incident so far.

“If a complaint is made, necessary legal action will be initiated according to the law,” he said.

Speaking to PTI on Saturday evening, Congress State Spokesperson Abhimanyu Tyagi said Chaudhary has been removed from his post.

“I spoke to Chief Minister Ajay Rai and he confirmed that Chaudhary has been removed from the post of Baghpat district chief,” he said.

Tyagi said the video was released on Friday and urged the party leadership to take immediate action.

When asked if Chaudhary will also be expelled from the party, Tyagi said the party leadership will take a decision in this regard soon.

Efforts to reach Yunus Chaudhary for comment were unsuccessful as he did not answer calls on his mobile phone.

However, in a statement on social media, Chaudhary claimed that the video was part of his “political conspiracy” to “edit and distribute” his rivals to damage their reputation.
