Abia State Governor, Alex Otti, on Sunday, visited the site of the fire disaster at Enyimba TV & Radio Limited, Oron Road Aba.

Enyimba, a three-in-one radio station, was destroyed by fire on Saturday night, which also destroyed the station’s television stations.

Otti stressed the need to remain calm after the incident and said that this was a great loss for the broadcasting community and the people of Abia.

Governor Otti also took the opportunity to advise both individuals and businesses to prioritize fire safety measures, especially as the dry season approaches.

He emphasized the importance of equipping homes and offices with fire extinguishers and encouraged organizations to establish preventative safety protocols.

The three radio stations affected by the inferno were Enyimba 94.3, Legend 98.3 and Rose 101.9, while the TV station Enyimba TV was also gutted.

Although there was no loss of life in the inferno, several important equipment worth millions of naira were left charred in the fire.
