Sona Shah, founder of My Private Professor (MPP), has turned her expertise in business litigation into a philanthropic effort to increase access to education. MPP provides equitable support to students from all backgrounds by providing a high-quality education. Beyond in-person tutoring, the company partners with employers to offer free and discounted services to employees’ families and collaborates with nonprofits to tutor students experiencing homelessness. MPP has sponsored over 680 hours of classes for these students since 2023. Shah’s commitment extends to his roles as president of the Tustin Public Schools Foundation, a board member of the Orangewood Foundation, and founder of the Inspire Philanthropy Foundation. His philanthropic efforts, including the “Inspiring Teacher Scholarships” and the “Lifelong Learners Fund,” have earned him numerous awards, including Ernst and Young’s Entrepreneur of the Year Nomination.
