A shocked racer has questioned whether the members-only section of the Royal Randwick is really private after witnessing ‘incredibly brutal’ behavior on Boxing Day.

X user Liz couldn’t believe what happened in the most private part of the track and immediately shared it on social media.

“What a wild bunch at the President’s Club in Randwick today,” he said. The offensive text was read.

‘People without shoes, always standing around obstructing the view of the straight road… Standing next to the sit down sign. Smoking in the stands.

‘People wearing less than what you see at the beach. It’s disgusting behavior.”

His post gained some sympathy online, with another pointing out that ‘security was pretty lax’.

Regarding the questionable choice of footwear at the President’s Club, an ATC spokesperson told Daily Mail Australia: ‘We believe this is an isolated incident as we were not made aware of it.’

The Boxing Day racing program is one of the biggest of the year at the iconic track in Sydney’s east; More people were seen flocking to the gates of Everest, which sold out only in October.

Australian Turf Club CEO Matt Galanos was pleased with the strong turnout at the track; punters also enjoyed DJ sets and live music.

‘This reflects our commitment to delivering unforgettable, vibrant and value-driven experiences to a diverse audience, particularly young people participating in the race,’ he said.

Boom jockey Zac Lloyd attracted attention by jumping over barriers and performing stunts after winning two races on the program.

Anna Roper suffered the biggest upset of the day, paying $15 to the NSW TAB when she bowed out to Audette in race six.
