Xiaomi is preparing for a major release with the Xiaomi 15 series, which brings significant improvements in camera performance, battery power and software. Ahead of the October 29 launch, Xiaomi offered a preview of its flagship models Xiaomi 15 and 15 Pro by posting camera samples on popular Chinese microblogging platform Weibo to show off upgraded photography capabilities.

The 50MP main and telephoto cameras of the Xiaomi 15 Pro represent a leap forward over its predecessor, the Xiaomi 14 Pro, especially in telephoto zoom. Now equipped with 5x optical zoom, the new telephoto setup surpasses the 3.2x zoom of the Xiaomi 14 Pro, providing clearer, more detailed footage at longer distances. Although Xiaomi 15 and 15 Pro will be fully introduced, the highly anticipated Xiaomi 15 Ultra is planned to be introduced with a delay in early 2025.
